For those who don't know, you don't get immediate credit for Balance Rewards Points. Instead, you pay the total price after sale and coupons, and collect the points. When you have 5,000 points you can redeem for $5 off your next purchase.
Note that you cannot redeem points for products with additional Balance Rewards Points, however, you can redeem on register rewards deals. While you can earn more for your points by saving more (40,000 is worth $50) you have to spend all in one transaction. I'm thinking more frequent smaller redemption are easier to manage.
For those of you interested, not I, there seems to be a limit of 20 on the same Balance Rewards deals. You all know me. I didn't find this limit and I do not advocate buying so many of anything.
